Mila Molchanov received 16 years of extensive training in the former Soviet Union, first in Kiev (Ukraine), than in St. Petersburg Conservatory (Russia), where she completed her studies at the N.Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory (the Place with fascinating and world-rich History/link to Wikipedia).
Mila holds two degrees BA in Education and Masters in Piano Performance both from Russia and Toronto University in Canada.
Although Mila started her career as the Concert Pianist, the love to teach is prevailed. For the past 28 years many of Mila’s students received awards and prizes in Piano Festivals and Competitions, Composers Competitions locally and nationally.
Big number of her students also passed Piano and Theory Conservatory examinations successfully.
Some become Piano teachers and many others have found the passion and love for the music: either by playing the piano along with some other instruments, or singing, Composing, improvising their own music.
And that is the best of all music achievements and endeavors .
Besides teaching, performing, adjudicating and examining the RCM exams, Mila has some other aspirations such as : oil and acrylic painting, reading great books, trying creative writing, hiking and ice skating.
